\t\t\t\nCooxup\u00e9’s first shipment of coffee abroad took place in 1959. Two years earlier, in 1957, the cooperative, which had already existed since 1932 as an agricultural credit cooperative, had turned its operation to the sale of agricultural and livestock inputs, storage, preparation and trading of coffee beans, one of the main agriculture and livestock activities in its region – the South of Minas Gerais. By becoming a Regional Cooperative of Coffee Growers in Guaxup\u00e9, Cooxup\u00e9 was driven to a new era, searching for constant innovations, technologies and pioneering that have developed over the years into as a reference for coffee growing in Brazil and in the world.<\/p>\n
Currently, 49 countries receive the coffee produced by more than 13,000 cooperative members of Cooxup\u00e9, located in the South and the Cerrado area of Minas Gerais and in the Vale do Rio Pardo in the state of S\u00e3o Paulo. Most of these producers, 82.6%, are family farmers and small producers, with the strong presence of the cooperative in their lives, have produced an increasingly sustainable coffee, respecting international standards and certifications.<\/p>\n
As a result of this joint work – cooperative and producer – Cooxup\u00e9 has been standing out in the coffee export\u00a0 in the country, leading the ranking in the years 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Over the past year, more than 4 million bags of Arabica coffee have been shipped to the international market.<\/p>\n
Due to its size and pioneering technologies, the cooperative can meet high demands, offering quality and specific blends, according to the profile of each of its customers.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tWhere does our coffee come from\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
There are more than 200 municipalities in the action area of Cooxup\u00e9, in the southern regions of Minas Gerais, Cerrado and Vale do Rio Pardo in S\u00e3o Paulo, producing quality coffee to Brazil and to the world.<\/p>\n
The cooperative works more closely with these cooperatives members through more than 30 units, divided into Cores, Advanced Units and branches.<\/p>\n
In the Advanced Units, the cooperative producer can order inputs, request technical assistance and even trade coffee, without having to go to the head office in Guaxup\u00e9. The Cores and branches have agricultural engineers, trading agents and support staff to cover the administrative and fiscal areas, besides the coffee warehouses.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
